A richly honeyed and raisiny Bunnahabhain refined for its final 10 months of maturation in a second fill Pedro Ximenez cask. A creamy single malt with a sunny soul, a warmth and a soft sweetness that will appeal to novices and whisky enthusiasts alike, because the fruity character of the PX does not overwhelm of the typically mineral, waxy and robust flavour profile of the distillery. Its notes of dried plums, black cherries, chocolate and coffee will make it a lovely match for dessert, and the velvety character and absence of any rough edges will perfectly complement a robust cigar too. The finale remains clean and without any of the winey notes or the cloying artificial sweetness that are usually associated with PX finishes.
